The title refers to the destruction of rivers, and in particular, the Russian River in Sonoma County, California, due to industrial/agricultural pollutants and low flow decisions. In the 3 “chapter” accordion-fold book each represents successive destruction as the image loses its representational clarity. On another level the title refers to deconstructing an image into a more and more abstracted vision.
