In the more than 3 decades I have worked as a professional artist in the Bay Area, I have made a lot of work.  On the surface, the series couldn't be more different. Conceptually speaking, though, all are the result of the same process: a series of edits – what I like to call interruptions, interceptions, and interventions by which I transform my initial visual encounter with a subject into an artwork waiting for the response of an audience which serves to complete the work.

I have always been fascinated with mixing the possibilities offered by new technologies with traditional artists materials. I like to to work at the front edge of the curve because there the landscape for experimentation is usually more open.
