Works on Aluminum
I am intrigued with the idea of works about metal on metal and the way the aluminum shows through. More importantly, it speaks to issues of sustainability - in Iceland where many of these roofs originated, there is no wood and the buildings, as well as the roofs, are made out of corrugated metal. The almond tree roots originated in a field outside of Barcelona, where the trees were being thrown away to be replaced by more lucrative olive trees.
